Homemade Gold Anchor, Navy Blue Sweatshirt
Custom stencil on large sketchbook paper, cut with scissors and an exacto knife. (The pliers in the pic are only there to help hold the paper down.)
Gold acrylic paint mixed with textile medium, applied with a sponge brush first to cover the entire area and then another coat painted over with a wide, squared paintbrush to smooth it all out and make the gold color more vibrant. Let it dry for about an hour, then turned it inside-out and went over it with a clothes iron for a few minutes to heat-set it.
I’ve washed it a few times over the last few months and it’s still retaining its vibrancy.
Note: excuse the background in the last image, it was my roommate’s bathroom.
